A really great start to the Circle Trilogy by Nora Roberts. I've read a number of her paranormal romance trilogies and what I enjoyed about this one was that it started in the past, not just flashing back to the beginning of the curse, but taking some of the original characters and bringing them to modern times. And having a centuries old sorcerer trying to understand airplanes is always fun. For years Glenna knew that as a witch her powers would be called for a higher task and joining with Hoyt and four others would be the beginning of a new army to try and defeat the vampire, Lilith. They try to learn to work together and each have their strengths but Glenna and Hoyt are drawn together by their power. While under attack they discover that love can happen no matter the obstacles. Great read!

Quem me conhece sabe que adoro Nora Roberts.

It took me a little while to read this book, and I kept on checking how close I was to the end. I'll try to read the others, but my heart is not into this series.

I was very on the fence with this one. The start was really strong, and I liked all of the characters, but the romance fell completely flat. It felt so forced and boring.
Spoiler Also seemed super odd that he assumed that she'd be completely fine going back to the olden days. She's a photographer; she would be stripped of her passion. I'm glad they ended up staying, but it was still completely on his terms. Was super odd that, after showing her being such a strong character, she'd give up her entire life for a dude. I mean, I love Hoyt too, but going back to what, the fourteenth century? No way.

Overall, I enjoyed this book, and I do want to eventually read the sequel cause I want to know what happens with these characters. But do I feel like slogging through the forced romance? Only time will tell.

More of a Celtic vampire fantasy adventure than a romance - lots of fun!

I used to read Nora Roberts books all the time. It's been a few years since I've picked one up. I truly enjoy her writing and characters.

Morrigan's Cross is the first in the circle trilogy. It's both fantasy and romance combining vampires, witches, sorcerers and shape shifters.

I will most definitely be reading the other two in the trilogy.

Book 1 in Circle Trilogy. Pretty darn good and I'm not always a big Nora fan. Like JD Robb, though...
