Why is it that the books that break our hearts the most are the ones we love the most? This story was so perfect. Dylan was a minor character in the other books, but you could always tell he had a huge impact on the group, even though he didn’t say much. I loved finally getting his story and seeing him fall in love, and his girl is perfect for him. Definitely my favorite in the entire series - McLean really did save the best for last.

i love this whole series...Each one is better then the next with each character with a harder struggle or lost the the next... #TeamSilence
I love Dylan and Riley together they are perfect for each other...their love for each other is amazing. Both of them lost a person they love and they both handle it hard but in the end they found a way to be More than enough for each other. their love for each other was so pure.

FAVORITE QUOTES:
" If I told you to jump, would you ask how high? Or would you just jump? If there were no reason behind it, would you still take the leap? What if I told you that at the end, there would be nothing? What if you made a splash on the world and lived in an eternal state of floating? Would you make waves? What if you couldn't float? What if air lost the battle, and you lost the war? Would you want to know what was on the other side? Would you care? Or would you just jump... because I was the one that asked you?"

"There's no emotion greater than fear.
No ache greater than grief.
No sound greater than silence."

"Time means nothing when forever's in play."

"There's no emotion greater than love.
No ache greater than longing.
No sound greater than you."

The love they share is greater than anything they will ever face.

Another wonderful instalment in this series from Jay McLean. I don't think I will ever get enough of her books. She hooks you right with the prologue in this one, and boy was it a big thing, leaving me like, what on earth just happened?!?!

Dylan and Riley are really great together, and whilst initially there are more struggles for Riley, they both end up going through quite a lot. I adored Dylan. He's everything I never expected, and probably my favourite after Logan in this series.

I was cruising along happily reading, and then I realised, oh boy, there's way too much of this book left for things to be this easy. And when the big stuff happened .... hoooooo boy! I was just hoping and hoping these two could pull it together.

Our wonderful couples from the other books are in this, along with some family members and other secondary characters who really add to the story nicely. I still love drunk Lucy too haha.

Love this world that Jay McLean has created. Its the kind of series that whenever you get a new book (yay for more coming in 2021!) or if you ever do a re-read, that it will be just like coming home. And whilst yes, this is only my first read of this series, I can say that honestly, because the power of the writing in this series just drags you in and makes you fall in love with all the characters.

Highly recommend (but must read them in order).

Never been shy about saying love after loss is not my favorite troupe. I hate when one the MCs knows they are second best. No exception here. But at the same time I loved these characters and the journey they went on together. Rough and emotional. I would expect nothing less from McLean.

Such a great addition to one my favourite series ever. Sadly the last one and I loved every second I got to spend with this group of friends because they're the best. They're hilarious but also the perfect people to have in your life. Mayhem, a brownie incident, a Logan-faced unicorn and Man-kinis involved.
Such an emotional journey. And I felt it all.

Lance Corporal Dylan Banks is back from Afghanistan and nothing is the same as before. He is just so tired. And when he finds refuge in Riley's bed everything changes again.
Riley is lost herself, drowns her pain and memories in wine. Both of them are overwhelmed with what they've been through. But their unspoken understanding, their need for silence and comfort, might let them save each other.
Then just when they believe they could have it all, everything comes crushing down.

The first few pages, picturing Riley and Jeremy, then Dave's story, made clear that this was not going be a light romance. It's heavy. It's about loss, and depression. And a lot about forgiving yourself. Full of heartbreak. But it's also perfectly balanced with the best dialogue, a lot of fun and magic in so many little details.

For all of this series, Dylan was somewhat of a mystery to me. His story with Heidi, his sudden enlisting, I just didn't think he could compare to Jake, Logan and Cam. But I loved him, He was perfect in so many ways. And Riley was just perfect for him. I got how torn she was in the beginning between her guilt of forgetting, questioning what she once had and lost and same as her I fell so hard for Dylan, showing that she doesn't have to choose. Seriously, how good is such a guy?

My heart broke for him, when grief, anger and the exhausting emotional back and forth turned him into someone, the ones who love him didn't know anymore. And he had these cruel ways with all his conflicted feelings, when guilt ate away on him. I hated how he was but I also felt it with him. When he told Dave how he hated him for making him hurt Riley, it becomes clear how much that one moment changed him, and how couldn't it? Then again, my heart broke piece by piece with what she had to put up with. And how she put up with all the shit he gave her. Her strenght became so fierce and admirable, her acceptance and ability to do just the right thing.

These two are just special. Their development is completely unusual and takes all these turns I didn't see coming but it also feel natural with their stories. How they learn to give in to happiness because it's more important than the fear of the past and the future. In the end I just wanted them to have it all.

5 beautiful stars for book number 5!!!

Dylan...you broody, tall, quiet, handsome man.
Riley...you broken, beautiful, loving, writer.

I always wondered who Dylan would end up with. From the glimpses in the first books, I knew him and Heidi were together. I had no idea they would fall apart the way that they did. But thank the lord! Dylan is quiet for a reason. He feels like what he says is not important. Until he meets someone that wants to listen to him.

Riley has everything she wants. She has a boyfriend, amazing friends, plans to go to a good college. Until tragedy strikes. She loses her boyfriend in a freak accident, she skips college altogether, and her friends abandon her when she needs them the most. When the boy next door comes back home that's when her world turns...for the better.

It's a classic story when the boy next door and the girl next door fall in love. It's not a classic story, when both are fighting everything in there power to keep fighting. These two together is fun, exciting, passionate, calming, monumentous. Riley brings Dylan the life that he so desperately needs. Dylan crushes Riley's urges to drink. Dylan is a Marine, so to watch how it affects both of them is heartbreaking.

Book 5 of the More Than series came to a beautiful end. I wanted nothing more than (see what I did there? HAHA) than for this series to continue. I got sucked into the lives of these characters. The stories that were told and how they overcame them. One thing i love that Jay did for the female characters is that she had them basically obsessed with reading (which I loved that because...SAME!). I related to those ladies so much, especially Lucy. But in all honesty I saw myself in each of them. This series is easily in my top 10 favorites. I'm so glad that I read this. I shed so many tears, laughed at all of the humor, and got so angry that I wanted to throw my iPad. Jay McLean...bravo!

Dylan was the one I knew least about, I really enjoyed reading Dylan and Rileys story, seeing them grow and change, I felt the heartbreak and the love! also loved Jake in this one, probably more than in his book!
