Very Motivational and inspiring and I think everybody should read it
My girl Rachel Hollis gives real, actionable steps. I found some things I need to work on. Needed this read!
If you can get past the preachy and pious narration then there are some good pieces of advice in this book. However, none of it is groundbreaking and most of it can be found on the internet.
I did appreciate that she acknowledges how much domestic help she has but I had a hard time taking her seriously as a "self-made" woman.
If you aren't a mother/wife/christian it is very hard to relate.

Self-congratulatory. Class-blind. Unfocused. Recycled and unoriginal.

This book was a blessing in disguise! I picked this book because it looked like a simple read 8 hrs on audio, enough to fill up my weekly read and mark it off as read on here GoodReads. I started off listening and I kid you not about 15 minutes into I was eye rolling because it sounded like Glennon Doyle’s Untamed, ugh I said disappointed with what my choice. However, after giving it an honest shot I fell head over heels for this book! I love this book this book was a perfect kick in the pants to get your act together in a very effective way. I love this book because reading it made remember my aunt and all her honest true life experience and advice so perfectly put in a book. This book motivates you to effectively getting your life together, it breaks it down so simple trust me you can do it. It takes the roadmap to success and lays it out for you. It’s all within you! I love this book so much that u dragged this book out as long as I could because I didn’t want it to end. I will be ordering this book off Barnes and Noble and having an audiobook copy as well. This book teaches you gratitude an effective way to going about your goals so you can achieve, therefore inspiring a chain reaction of change among each other.
She is one hell of a writer and I love her style and realness!

Loved listening to this on audio
I think I’m just “personal growth book” tired.
•
I’ve read so many from this genre over the years that it’s hard to find something new to glean.
•
I liked “Girl, Wash Your Face” when I read it years back, but this one was too mom-focused for me. I know she tried to relate it to more than just moms, but I wasn’t resonating with much of it.
•
Probably more of a reflection of me over-consuming motivational content than anything against the author — which is why I rated it a 3 instead of a 2.

I received an Advance Reader’s Copy of this book.
I was trying to find a quote from Rachel Hollis’ first book and found it, but it was by someone else years before her book came out. Months later, an article came out about her plagiarism and I’ve been disappointed that I ever was on her book launch teams (for this book and Girl, Wash Your Face).
Because of this, I’m deleting my reviews of her books.

This is just straight terrible. A slow burning brag show about how this chick “got rich”. Full of ignorant comments and an inability to relate to real people. Also found a lot of digs at those with disabilities sparsed throughout. Made it 3/4s of the way before I honestly couldn’t take it anymore. Poor poor show!
