Important book! Would really recommend it to everyone!

Informative, more recent so not really a starting point. I have hope that tides are turning, and I hope to see a liberated and free Palestine within my lifetime

Would recommend for anyone who wants to be better understand the conflict and the history of oppression.

This was a compelling book by two of the most brilliant historians and political scientists of our time. While I got a lot out of this book, I think I would enjoy the authors' respective books more than this think piece. I would recommend this to anyone who wants to deepen their understanding of the Israeli-Palestinian conflict. I don't have much else to contribute, mainly because I had to read this very slow to fully grasp the concepts discussed here. This is not an easy read, both in content and prose.

THIS WAS NOT AN EASY READ BUT BEAR WITH IT AND YOU'LL GET THE ANSWERS

This is a dual perspective on the ongoing genocide between Noam Chomsky & Ilan Pappe both work closely with Pissrael community. We get to see their perspective how different & similar they are and yet they have ONE COMMON GOAL: to FREE PALESTINE. This also makes us look to ourselves and begs the question: 'What is the best for Palestine and how to get it?'

This book even touches so many things about "peace processes" throughout the decades and the patterns Pissrael follows. Ever heard a Zino say "H-group always reject any peace offerings'? Yeah, that BS. I even found out that there was a peace offering. One that even include acknowledgement of the state of Pissrael which is what they should want but they reject it simply because Hamas & Fatah work together along with other Arab state. That point, you know Pissrael never wanted to end it this way because unification of Arab state means they would be outnumbered on all sides so they rather resort in g-slide.

Conversational and educational, it swayed between interesting and intricate. Even after having followed the conflict for many years I found myself learning more.

-I appreciated how much we went into history but also directly correlated it to what was happening at the time the book was written
- I also appreciated the parallel’s drawn to South Africa.
-  "The only chance for successful struggle against Zionism in Palestine is the one based on a human and civil rights agenda that does not differentiate between one violation and the other and yet identifies clearly the victim and the victimizers."
