It’s very sad to me that this book written a decade ago is still so unbelievably relevant today. I found myself consumed by that thought for the majority of this book. Definitely prompted some thinking on my part.

It's a lot of information but very eye-opening and enraging learning about how far this - ongoing - genocide goes.

It does get a little bit repetitive at times though.

Vital reading for understanding the complexities of the Palestinian genocide.

This is perhaps the worst piece of anti-Semitic propaganda garbage I have ever read. Then again, once I looked up the authors I was not surprised.
Ilan Pappé is one of the most dishonest scholars out there. He even said it himself that his motivation is to "convince people our interpretation of the facts is the correct one and do it because of ideological reasons, not because we are truth seekers."
Noam Chomsky has been criticized for his support of Hezbollah and of arming Hezbollah in Lebanon in 2006. He falsely refers to Palestinians as indigenous people and tolerates violence against Israelis.

No matter what Israel does they will be demonized by the Arab world, most of which want the eradication of the Jewish people. The leaders of Palestine reject every attempt at peace and negotiations. Heck, the people of Palestine openly elected Hamas to lead them. Hamas, who openly admit that they want to eradicate Israel and the Jews.
Hamas official, Hamad Al-Regeb in an April 2023 sermon: He prayed for “annihilation” and “paralysis” of the Jews whom he described as filthy animals:
Hamas is more of a threat to the Palestinians than Israel, but nobody talks about that. They hide tunnels under hospitals and schools, using innocents as human shields.
This whole book talks about how racist, apartheid,  and colonialist Israel is. It is not an apartheid state; all groups living in Israel are equally protected under the law. They are not colonizers and Palestinians are not indigenous. The Jewish people are the indigenous group, the U.N. even recognized that this was their ancestral land and it is why they were given the land back.
The authors pick only information that makes Israel look evil. They talk about the attack on Gaza in 2014, yet fail to mention that it was retaliation for a bunch of rockets being sent into Israel. This is always the story though, Israel acts to protect itself and yet the narrative is that Israel attacks the "innocent." If you want a great example of completely dishonest writing, read this book.

I enjoyed the conversation-like format of this book and the opportunity to learn from two distinct voices about the history and current state of Palestine, namely its ongoing, violent occupation by the state of Israel.
