Thoughtful, educational collection of essays from two leading activists - as with many nonfiction essay collections, this got a bit repetitive by the end, but overall I found it to be enlightening.

Truly a must read for everyone. I feel better equipped but this book only scratches the surface. Noam Chomsky is obviously great, but I really appreciated Ilan Pappé’s insight as an Israeli as well.

As another addition to the continued and lifelong learning on Palestine, I appreciated the new conversations brought by this work. It's not a primer and only occasionally pauses to outline history. My favorite discussions distinguished between the apartheid of South Africa and that of Palestine, its specificities and tactical implications. Occasionally the work descends into rather technical back-and-forths regarding strategy and tactics of resistance. I find those conversations better fit in meeting rooms than debate stages.

I'm not a huge fan of interview-formatted books. I feel most would be better served by taking the time to compose a series of essays, including this work. Overall, I learned more about Palestine, and that makes it worth the read.
