Plenty of Miss Marple in this one! I liked the set up. I liked the escalating murdery-ness. And I did not guess and did a little gasp with the reveal!
I couldn't get into it. I remember watching the episode that was written from this book so that clinched it.
I thoroughly enjoyed this one - a really engaging read, with great characters and a strong mystery.

Rather a grisly one. I really felt sorry for the victims in this story; they seemed particularly helpless. It was a clever mystery, as usual, however some elements felt a bit slapdash and I could tell they had been thrown in to aid Miss Marple in solving the crime. I had my suspicions about the murderer and was pleased to figure out who it was before the big reveal! Overall, there is a much darker atmosphere to this mystery in comparison to other works by Christie. I cannot say I enjoyed it but it was definitely intriguing.
