I thoroughly enjoyed the character development, plot twists, and immersion into Faerie. Overall, great series

And yet again this book is better than the last one. I loved reading the Wicked King because it felt like the writing was simply just improved from the first book, and I had the same feeling with the Queen of Nothing. The characters have become more complex and interesting throughout the series and it has made me happier with each book.

I was very curious to see what this book had in store: Was it going to be fully Jude's exile? Would she find a way back to Faeriland? How will Jude react to seeing Carden again? I had high hopes, and Queen of Nothing delivered.

I loved that the book basically starts out with
Taryn's Murder of Locke. I was a bit sad to see that Jude didn't get to kill him, but Taryn had just as much right to. He deserved it. And it created the perfect opportunity for Jude to return home. Also Carden immediately recognizing Jude while she was pretending to be Taryn?????? Holy fuck.

I'm going to be honest, I don't remember much of the actual plot. I feel like this whole series is very character-driven. From every book I remember pretty much only the characters and their important actions and development. All throughout the book I was very tense, wondering what was going to happen to the characters.

Seeing the Ghost again was quite something.
I'm glad the author found a way to redeem him, but it felt a little like there were no consequences to his betrayal. Things seem to just kind of happen to the characters sometimes. Him liking Taryn also felt a bit random, like taking the two last characters that didn't get paired up with anyone and putting them together for the sake of having everyone be paired up nicely.

I don't remember what else I wanted to say; I finished this book in 6 days and didn't write down any notes. I would've liked to see more after the finale. It felt like everything went down and then
Jude and Carden barely spent any time together, being comfortable.
I didn't like that very much.
The ending just felt a bit rushed overall. I mean they literally had a ceremony where they sealed all the character's futures: Madoc having to go to the mortal realm, Taryn getting Locke's estate, the soldiers being cursed to become falcons. Just felt a bit cheap.

Overall I really liked this book, and the whole series. I won't be reading any of the sequels and spinoffs, because I'm not that invested in the world. I read this series for Jude and Carden rather than the world building, so I'm just not interested.
