Not sure of the low star reviews. I loved this. What Emma went through makes my heart hurt.

Reed's patience is astounding.

Seeing Nora open up was breathtaking.

Glad I went into this one blind. Absolutely beautifully written. Audiobook was phenomenal!!

DNF.

I don’t think the main character is over reacting, I also find men in the police force a threat, and statistically, you would be better off avoiding them

Reads well

Reads well. Written well.
Pretty standard plot of healing from trauma. Bit unrealistic starting timeline. But what modern romance isn't on a terrible timeline.

DNF 20% - I'm not really vibing with the writing style, I'm having trouble connecting to the characters as well.. so this is a pass for me

“You’re not that hard to read, and your lies are your biggest giveaway.”

“Reed Ryan was dangerous . . . For my heart. For my soul. For my already weakening resolve.”

I was not expecting a 5 star but I sure got it by luck! I picked this book up on the Plus Catalog on Audible and was about 30% done with the book when it was taken off the list. I HAD to the finish the story and loved how much the story and characters grew! The trauma, the suspense, the healing, all of it — yes! I will definitely be reading more from Molly McAdams.

3.75 but rounded to 4.

I did this on audio and I thought the narrators did a good job.
The ending felt a little rushed while other parts felt repetitive. Reid was a green flag through and through and his relationship with Nora was really sweet.
