Bless Reed and his undying love and need to never wanting to give up on Emma because man, that takes a lot to not want to give up on someone so guarded and pushing someone away. Even after that third act breakup.
Emma, Whoof. My heart aches for you. And the many others that have gone through and suffered what you have endured. But not going to lie the miscommunication issue causing me to roll my eyes and audible “oh my god seriously just TALK TO HIM” though very glad and personal growth moment when Emma was able to have the forethought to record her confrontation with Jarrett at the end AND speak with the cops at the end.
Overall, really enjoyed and captivated by the story. Kept wanting to know more about each character’s background and wanted them to have their HEA. Loved little Nora as well and her story ❤️

Audiobook (audible) - such a wonderful representation of the strength women have especially when put into such horrible situations over and over again creating a super guarded person. Reed continues to be there for Emma over and over workin within her tight boundaries to coax her out of this guarded shell she’s built for a beautiful hea ending.

I love how the author didn't do a runaway seen at the end like many other books running away to protect the family. Great book.

We didn’t need that many pages for this story. It’s not slow burn just for the romance part, it’s slow for the plot too. There are scenes that don’t move the plot along, and now I realize there are too many of them.
