My son loved this book so much that we named our daughter Olivia ;)

Olivia's sass and imagination are outstanding. An excellent read for little boys and girls alike!

My mom (a former school-teacher) bought this for her grand-daughter Katy because of her middle name, Olivia, but also because I think she'd enjoyed reading it in her class. Glad she did, because it's become one of our favorites, this and all the related Olivia books.

Olivia is a strong-willed, imaginative, sweet, funny and occasionally parent-annoying little girl. Not a bad role model for a young girl to have. Aside from the parent-annoying, of course... but that's built in to little kids. :)

A great story for young girls about a young pig being herself! I like all of Olivia's dreams and accomplishments. Looking forward to reading the others. Read for my Lit and Resources for Children class for grad school. Full review to come.

Olivia is incredibly endearing -- even when she's getting into trouble.

I read this book several years back but I revisited it with this year's daycare storytimes. Olivia is spunky and full of adventure, which the kids loved. She also has a lot going for her that the adults in the audience will like too. I'd definitely recommended this Olivia title for read alouds.

For: readers wanting a book featuring a strongly depicted child; readers looking for a bit of silly.

Possible red flags: prepare to discuss that it is not a good idea to paint on the wall without adult permission/supervision.
