I was in a reading slump and in need of a good junk food book to mindlessly enjoy and this was perfect for that.

I had some qualms about the timing and pacing of events, but overall it was a fun read and the smut wasn't all encompassing which is something I really hate about some romances. A nice balance of growth as a couple and growth if other places, ifkyky.

I’m really struggling with this book. I knew that it was going to be different from the show, which I adore, but I was not expecting to feel so drastically different about the book and the characters. I definitely always had a little bit of an issue with, some of Daphne‘s actions, but they are so much worse in the book. If I’m being completely honest, I really don’t like either Daphne or Simon and the best parts of the book were the other characters when they made their brief appearances. I don’t know if I’m disappointed, but I’m feeling a little underwhelmed. I also think that it may just be that this isn’t the usual book that I pick up but either way, I feel like the book was just OK
