I actually enjoyed this book more than I thought. I’m not sure how it got on my “to read” list but I’m glad it did. I listened to the audiobook and the narrator was great. Usually women doing male voices is off putting but this woman was great and her British accent was very authentic.

This was okay. I really enjoyed Goodnight Beautiful and this didn’t live up to that. It moved quickly. Makes me not want to have kids.
The premise is a good one and the writing is pretty good too, but this wasn't a gripping story. The characters were all too similar for me, I couldn't keep up with which character was narrating in the audiobook.
**Spoiler*
And at the end, the explanation is written in the 1st person by a character I didn't think had been in the story as 1st person narrator up to that point, it threw me off.
I also feel like there should have been some detail or afterward mention about the reality of postpartum psychosis, but the end just felt like the beginning over again without much analysis or growth in characters.

I did not expect this book to suck me in as much as it did. From the beginning I was hooked and unable to put it down. You get invested in this book, your mind is trying to work out the clues and find out what happened to Midas, why these other women are so invested/what they have to hide. There were so many twists and turns that I couldn't actually keep up, which was definitely a welcomed change of pace from the usual books I read. The writing was very well done and I felt like I was watching a movie, there were several times that I completely forgot I was actually reading. (Which is a very weird feeling by the way.) It was witty, thrilling, captivating, and intense from start to finish. This was a very very good book and I would highly recommend you pick it up.
Great book and kept my attention... It changed tenses and perspectives a lot so that was a bit confusing, but definitely recommend the read. It's good to read as a mom to be as well, though causes a bit of anxiety about trusting society with your upcoming baby.

I feel like I want to write a rant about why I keep trying to read all these domestic thrillers and why I think a lot of them fail to be, well, thrilling.
But who asked for that?
