This was an interesting read, it wasn't really what I was expecting at all but it was definitely intriguing. I didn't see the twist coming so I was pleasantly surprised by it though I did find some plot points and characters questionable. This book followed a few different characters, so it did get confusing at times, especially since I listened to the audiobook, but not enough to take away from the story.

Ugh. I really enjoyed Molloy's "Good Night Beautiful," but this book did not feel like the same author. All of the characters were one-dimensional and pretty much clones. The story was incredibly boring, and to get to the end and not even know the character in the big twist was terrible. I still don't know who tf she was, what tf nonsense happened, and I didn't care. Maybe because I was so bored and my mind was wandering a lot[wondering how much longer I'd need to endure this book] a lot of the twist and epiloge was lost on me.

The book follows a mommy group of the most annoying, irritating, and boring group of women I've ever had the displeasure of reading about. One night after A LOT of berating themselves for wanting a night out without[GASP] their infants, they treat themselves to a girl's night out. If I didn't have time away from my baby, I'd probably have lost my mind. It's ridiculous to believe these women couldn't spend a second away from their kids. There were so many eye rolling and unbelievable moments that I couldn't even attempt to enjoy the characters or story. As a mother, this book was so out of touch. The commentary I think the author was trying to make about motherhood was relentless and ultimately meaningless.

I see many 5 star reviews, and I'm dumbfounded. This book is a train wreck and not in a good way. This may have been the worst book I've read all year. SKIP. Read this author's "Goodnight Beautiful". That is an intricately plotted and engaging thriller.
