Everyday Heroes are the best kind of heroes
Second book in the Everyday Heroes series has Grady and Dylan learning loss and love can take you places you never expected. Grady is a one of a kind hero, protector, and friend. Just an every day guy, who happens to fight fires for a living. Book is well written, characters are developed, and old and new characters are in the book. Highly recommend this series by a favorite author.

Combust is the second book in the Everyday Heroes series by K. Bromberg. If you like hot firefighters and lovable songwriters then this is the book for you. This is another amazing and emotional book by this author.
Dylan McCoy needs to leave her life in LA for a while because of her cheating ex-boyfriend. Dylan’s brother tells her that a friend of his has an extra room. Firefighter Grady Malone still has a lot of guilt over an accident that happened two years ago. What will happen when Dylan and Grady can’t stop thinking about each other, will they stay roommates or give into chemistry?
I loved everything about this book; these two were perfect for each other. They both helped one another’s with their insecurities, fears, and to believe in love again. Grady is one HOT MF Firefighter! I want a firemen calendar now. Loved every character in this book even Petunia; can’t wait for Grayson’s book and Desi novella!!

Can I give this book more than 5 stars????
Kristy Bromberg has done it again. Another book that grabs you in all the feels and takes you through a roller coaster of emotions. I've read all her books and she is by far my favourite author. Already looking forward to her next book.

2.75 Meh. First, let me say that this is part of a series. This is the only one I’ve read, and each can probably be read on it’s own, but it’s a series about 3 brothers. I read this book about a week ago and I’m already struggling to remember it. I did like the hero and his back story. I wasn’t as crazy about the heroine. I just didn’t find her very believable. I don’t plan to continue the series.
I liked it. The characters are mature, well developed and I like the aspect of individual growth - not as a couple, but as people-
Both of them had their own issues to get over. They had to rediscover their inner strength, their priorities and most importantly what makes them tick without relying on a partner to complete them.
They encouraged each other to push forward and were very honest in telling each other to suck up and push forward basically.
I like books about relationships where the characters are not using each other as crutches to get over personal drama and become dependent on the other person to evolve but rather they make each other better by doing the opposite and working on themselves even if that means a time of separation.
It was a good book, a good storyline with flawed but kind characters. I loved that it touched the subject of insecurity:
- body image issues
- fear of not being good enough professionally
- fear of not being the right kind of person for someone they love
Those are just a few, but what was most striking was that we have the male H, Grady who is plagued by issues like that as well because it is usually the female character who’s insecure in her body.
Here they both felt inadequate but not because they were shallow (as it often comes across in many books that tackle the same issue ) but because they were made to feel that way by previous partners.
It just highlights how a toxic person/relationship can affect your sense of worth and your vision of yourself no matter how old you are or how handsome/beautiful or successful.
All in all I would recommend as a read, it was touching.

“Two in, two out.”
Kristy has done it again!!!!
I didn’t think I could fall more in love with a Malone brother after reading ‘Cuffed’ but I was wrong. Sorry Grant by Grady has taken top spot!!!
I absolutely loved everything about this book and yet I have no idea how to put in to words why.
Grady was...complicated. He was lost, drowning in guilt, pain and fear with no light in sight.
Until Dylan walked in to his house, and into his life.
She was running away. Escaping her life back in LA and the cheating arsehole who broke her heart.
Sparks fly, and playing with fire has never looked so good...until now.
But how long can you play with fire before being Burned?
My heart broke for Grady in this book. I felt his pain. His vulnerability and I just wanted to reach in, wrap my arms around him and never let go.
I think Dylan was the perfect match for him. She helped him and brought him back to life.
I cannot wait for Grayson’s book to come out. If these two books are anything to go by, then I just know Kristy is going to deliver one hell of a book, which we will fall madly for.

“Because I want to give you all of those things. I told you once I didn’t want to be your whole world, but rather the part you were in. I lied. It isn’t enough. It’ll never be enough with you.”
I can't, please, I love this relationship so much

Another perfect book by K. Bromberg!! This author just doesn't know how to write a bad book. The second book in the Everyday Heroes series, I could not get enough of it. I was actually sad that it ended. Out of the two books, this one is my favorite.
You can't help but fall Grady and Dylan. Their chemistry is off the charts. Grady is sexy, and sweet and just so yummy. I love how they heal each other of insecurities and past demons. I love them together.
