FEAR - Face Everything And Rise.....
Wow, that quote totally sums up this brilliant story from K. Bromberg!
This story of Dylan and Grady is just wow, just everything!
Dylan is my spirit animal, I swear! She has such issues, and it takes someone like Grady to see past them to the beautiful person she is. I love how she was described in the book, no petite gal here! One of my fave quotes from the book "I have mermaid thighs! Thighs that touch from the top all the way to my knees!" Gotta give some love to us curvy girls!
Grady, oh swoon! Grady carries his own scars and issues and you can feel his guilt and shame and you just want to love on him all the harder for it!
There is laughter in this story, I mean come on Petunia!! (You'll figure this out when you read it!) There are tears, there is a firetruck worth of steaminess and there is love, such beautiful love!
K. Bromberg is a fantastic author and I remember correctly, (I double checked on Passionflix) she has some books that are going to made into movies! Thank you for your wonderful stories!

Uh … WOW! What can I say about Combust, I absolutely loved every bit of this book, it has easily been added to my favorites for this year! It was such a different mix of characters, but it worked out perfectly. Let’s dive right in.
Dylan, a songwriter-singer that prefers to stay in the limelight, her world was altered when she found her boyfriend in bed with someone else. Trying to deal with the heartbreak, she needs to flee. But it’s not as easy as she’d hope it would be, tied to a contract with her recording label, it’s not as simple as leaving her heartache behind. Not only is she tied to this contract to finish an album, but her music partner is none other than her stupid, now ex-boyfriend, Jett. Tired of always being second best, she just needs to get away.
And that’s where Grady comes in, doing a solid for his friend, he opens his house to Dylan. He’s the perfect guy for a rebound, but the more she gets to know Grady, the attraction grows. Grady not only has visible scars but invisible ones as well. Dealing with survivor’s guilt and not exactly wanting to be tied down to anyone. He has so many things to work out on his own. It’s not long after a certain visitor changes their roommate roles, navigating through their attraction towards each other, will they make it out of the fire alive?
I love that this isn’t a typical co-ed roommate story.Dylan and Grady are both dealing with a few personal things and have a bit to overcome. Besides Dylan dealing with her ever persistent ex, her sexy as sin roommate, she has a loathing towards firefighters and devoted to a mom who is barely present. While Grady, can’t get past losing a fellow firefighter and surviving the day. That loss also left a mother to raise a son on her own. It was too much for Grady and that’s why he has completely shut down the idea of ever being in a committed relationship. Temporary is all he needs.
The one thing that neither one of them planned on was the possibility that they’d be perfect for each other. They challenge each other to move past their hurt and overcome the barriers that are keeping them back. I loved witnessing the complete peace that they brought each other and how quickly they were falling for each other. You’ll be wondering how there will be a happy ending with this. Or maybe by the time they realize it, it’ll be too late.
An absolutely beautiful story that will have you hooked page after page. Definitely, one of my new favorite series and will be looking forward to the next book, Pilot.

5 Two In, Two Out CROWNS
Words will evade me for how much I love Combust! The characters are beautifully complex and real, the story one of healing and growth, and a romance that is one readers dream of. It is without a doubt my favorite K. Bromberg novel.
Grady Malone, with his broken heart, owns me. His warmth and acceptance of Dylan is a natural extension of who he is. His protectiveness and desire for Dylan to see herself as she is versus the warped version in mine brain had me falling in love with this hero because it is genuine. Nothing about this man is a line or an attempt to bed the heroine. He is just truthful and caring, and the love he exudes fr those he cares about absolutely floored me. Now, he is a K. Bromberg character, so he definitely has those moments of possessiveness and his sexual nature in the bedroom is off the charts, which only makes him all the more worthy of serious reader worships.
I really enjoyed Dylan's character. Her insecurities resonate, as I imagine it will with most female readers, with me. I understand the feeling of being physically inadequate, but the way she changed and grew from the love she felt was addictive to watch. Although Grady's love was the impetus to this, she changes for herself. She finally sees herself the way he always has, and I love that she learns to love herself. Dylan is also incredibly compassionate and patient. She doesn't push or pry, but is this subtle support in his life. I love that she is not the typical heroine and is just as deserving of an amazing man like Grady.
This story is more than a steamy romance. It is two broken people healing within each other's arms, but they ultimately have to fix the broken pieces themselves. This isn't a story about love healing a person, but about being worthy of the person you love. It is the impetus that pushes Dylan and Grady to face their issues, insecurities, and fears, because they have finally found someone worthy of chasing the demons down and owning their lives again. It is pure romance PERFECTION!
I am in love with the Malone boys. Every single one has stolen my heart, and K. Bromberg just gets better and better with each book. It makes me a bit sad to know we are getting to the final brother, but these men are fantastic and the last ride is going to be phenomenal. I can just feel it!

My short 2 cents.
Every time I finish a Bromberg book, I have a big ole smile on my face. I don't know, I just think each book she puts out gets better and better. I'm really loving these Malone men, I can't get enough.

I liked this one much more than the first book. Grady is broken, but maybe not as broken as he thinks. Dylan is reeling from heartbreak, one that has tapped into her deepest insecurities. And when they come together, they push and challenge and help each other to heal and to see beyond what’s in their heads.
Grady’s story is heart-wrenching and Dylan is super relatable, but together these two are

5 Combust Stars
Well, well, well, K. Bromberg does it again. She sucked me in from the first line to the last.
I was a little iffy going into this book because I am freaked about fire, always have been probably always will be. And seeing it on TV or reading about it gives me the willies. Butttt I couldn’t resist this cover!!
Grady is smokin' hot and still sweet, I really loved that his friend asked him for help and he was like sure your sister can say here no problem. That just goes to show you he is a really great friend.
Dylan is sweet and totally nursing a wounded heart. But I think getting to see Grady and his circle of friends helps sooth that heart just a little. Who can be sad when you have a bunch of good-looking fellas around.
Their friendship really does pay a big role in how they become more and it is sweet and sexy all at the same time.
And hellooooooooo SebYo is the voice of Grady… Enough said! ;)
*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*
