Another perfect book by K. Bromberg!! This author just doesn't know how to write a bad book. The second book in the Everyday Heroes series, I could not get enough of it. I was actually sad that it ended. Out of the two books, this one is my favorite.
You can't help but fall Grady and Dylan. Their chemistry is off the charts. Grady is sexy, and sweet and just so yummy. I love how they heal each other of insecurities and past demons. I love them together.

Combust is the second book in the Everyday Heroes series by the very talented K. Bromberg. They are each standalones, but if you haven't read Cuffed you really need to. Trust me! I always look forward to reading a new book by K. Bromberg because I know I'm going to get all the feels. Her writing is always fantastic, her characters well developed and real. They have depth, heart, and humor. Usually when I start a series about brothers, I have a favorite from the first book. I have already met all three, Grant, Grayson and Grady and I can honestly say I can't pick a favorite. That is a first for me. There was something very intriguing about Grady and his easy smiles and sexy dimples. He was carefree and fun. In Combust, we get to see all the sides of Grady Malone. Yes, he's sexy, sweet and has a body made for sin. But he's also carrying around guilt and scars inside and out. He's a firefighter, that's who he is. Always wanted to be. But now he's not the same. Answering the call is more terrifying than exciting. Dylan is a friend's sister who needs a place to escape to. She's running from her ex-boyfriend but she's still tied to him through their song writing. She needed a place without memories to write the album and Sunnyville is the perfect spot. Grady is easy to live with even if she can't stop staring at his eight abs. They get to know each other and when they have to pretend to be more, the sparks fly. But it's more than physical. They become something to each other. A voice to help the other heal. A deal to help them overcome their pasts. But when time's up neither wants to say goodbye. Can Grady put it all on the line for love? Will Dylan ask for more? I loved this story. It had so much heart I found myself smiling through most of it, even my tears. There is a lot of emotion and turmoil, but the humor and heat are the perfect balance. Grady is so damn sexy and his scars just add to his appeal. They tell the story of his life. Dylan is beautiful and she learns that loving yourself is the hardest thing to do. I felt for these characters. I cheered, I yelled and I swooned. I can't wait to see what Grayson has in store for us!

"Ready to show me your fire pole, Malone?”
“I already pet your kitty, so I guess my pole is the next best place to start.”
“You’re sick.” I laugh.
“And you love it.”

“I’m getting lost in you, Dylan. It’s so damn easy. When I’m with you, I forget the bad. I’m kissing you because when I’m with you, my mind stops and the world starts turning again.”

This book was very well written.

I fell head over heels for this man so afraid to love.

He let this simple woman into his home but didn’t want her in his heart.

He fell slowly before he realized it.

I really enjoyed listening to their story of a slow BURN love ❤️

5 Combust Stars

Well, well, well, K. Bromberg does it again. She sucked me in from the first line to the last.
I was a little iffy going into this book because I am freaked about fire, always have been probably always will be. And seeing it on TV or reading about it gives me the willies. Butttt I couldn’t resist this cover!!

Grady is smokin' hot and still sweet, I really loved that his friend asked him for help and he was like sure your sister can say here no problem. That just goes to show you he is a really great friend.

Dylan is sweet and totally nursing a wounded heart. But I think getting to see Grady and his circle of friends helps sooth that heart just a little. Who can be sad when you have a bunch of good-looking fellas around.

Their friendship really does pay a big role in how they become more and it is sweet and sexy all at the same time.

And hellooooooooo SebYo is the voice of Grady… Enough said! ;)

*You don't have to like my review but its 100% my opinion, and I am allowed to have it.*

Well... I just fell in love with another Malone brother. And if I’m honest, I think I love Grady more than Grant.

Grady and Dylan’s story is so real and heart wrenching and beautiful. Both their insecurities. The love they refuse to own. The truth of what they deserve.

Their story holds a special place in my heart ❤️

Ever since Bromberg first hooked me with that cliffhanger at the end of her book Driven, I have been a huge fan. This is my first of her books that is not a part of that series, and I can honestly say I am not disappointed. While this is definitely a standalone, it also makes me want to go back and read the first book, to learn about the other Malone brother's romance. Pretty sure a family of hot men in uniforms is one I need to get to know. I loved all the little sayings the Malone family had for what the word "fear" actually could mean. Like: Face Everything And Rise. I loved the chemistry between Grady and Dylan. I also love that Dylan was able to see her ex for exactly who he was, and not be tempted to get back with him, no matter how hard he tried. That would have totally ruined her character for me if that had happened. Grady frustrated me with his refusing to get into anything serious because of his dangerous line of work and what had hapened to his partner. But you can understand it. While I wondered how they could work out in the end, Grady being a firefighter in the town, and Dylan being a songwriter who probably needed to be in Hollywood, I guess the author figured out how it could.

Five Amazing Stars for Combust!

All consuming! One you won't put down! One that will stick with you long after you've read it. Combust will leave your heart full and complete.

Dylan has just had her life rocked. Her cheating rockstar boyfriend wasn't only her boyfriend but he was also her writing companion. Now she needs a break after finding her boyfriend in the arms of someone else. She needs an escape. After a call to her brother she ends up in Sunnyvale.

Brody is living life at his pace. Stuck. He's living with some fears and a whole lot of guilt. A firefighter in Sunnyvale, He's not living as he should be until he finds his new roommate in his house. Dylan. The game then changes.

We have to break down walls and get through the guilt and the way that K. Bromberg writes this is a journey of its own. We go through many emotions and we laugh, we cry and we hope! These two are meant to be but it takes a lot of heartache to get it to happen.

I was hooked from page one and couldn't flip the pages fast enough to get to the end. I loved every single thing about this book. Combust will make your heart swoon and leave you very happy. Highly recommended.

This had bare bones potential and a good set-up but something was just lacking. I couldn't connect to either character and I found the story not as engaging as I thought it would be.

Love the story and writing. Didn't want to stop reading it. Loved every second. Love me a firefighter. I voluntarily reviewed an Advance Reader Copy of this book.

This book is awesome. Both of them unable to see who they are, but find themselves together! Great read!
