Fine, but not very memorable. The thing I loved most about was the atmosphere. The plot didn't stand out at all and was kind of blah. I enjoyed the characters.

Cute, funny, easy to read witch romance. I enjoyed these characters more than the first book... maybe because Wells is much more my type... little grumpy, snarky, etc. Love these books as an easy palette cleanser from my routine heavier fantasy reads.

A fun, light, read that helps me forget how hot it is outside and how much I crave fall.
Didn’t love it as much as the first book, Wells didn’t really grow on me till like 60-70% of the way through. Not sure if I’ll read the last one or not

Didn't love this book at the start, felt it was slow with a lot of the problems of the genre such as the "witty female MC", and underdeveloped side characters.
I did enjoy it a lot more once Wells was introduced, and the scenes of Gwyn and Wells were well written and enjoyable, with the odd bit of slightly cringe dialogue from Gwyn.
Main plot isn't super satisfying, but it's sort of interesting? I suppose in a book so short it's hard to develop a lot of characters and make the plot super compelling. It was fine for what it was, and I did like it okay.
A few things left unresolved, like Wells never remembering he's met Gwyn before, Elaine meeting Wells etc etc. Again, an issue of the short book.

These books are such a delight - think Halloween in Stars Hollow, with a cute enemies to lovers trope and some suspicious magical mysteries to solve.
