I read The Ex Hex last year for a (close enough) X title for my Alphabet Reading Challenge and enjoyed it way more than I expected to, so saved the Kiss Curse for this year's Spooky Season reading list! It was fun to rediscover all the charming characters of Graves Glen and to get lost in their witchy world. Gwyn was an awesome character - full of spunk and fun - and Wells was a charming grump (who wasn't that grumpy in the end.) Easy, light, fun read which I devoured in two days on audiobook.
3.5 stars
Overall, this books is slightly better than the first one in the series. I think the plot is not as basic, with more layers to it compared to The Ex Hex (even though I still consider it to be quite a simple and easy to guess plot). The banter between the main characters is also better and I was definitely more entertained. However, as with the first one, I wished the book dwelled more on the history behind it all. The town, the families - it all has so much potential ! Part of me wants to believe that this is being saved for the next book of the series but at the time, after two rather simple books, sadly I don’t believe the third will be that in depth.
Regardless it is still an enjoyable quick read for romance and Witchery fans.

This book was fun, a classic Hallmark movie book for me. Gwyn was a very fun lead character, and she was so easy to follow. I loved enjoyed getting a closer look into Something Wicked and the Witch community outside the college.
I felt that the romance was a little flat and moved so fast without anything really happening. It felt like Gwyn and Wells were enemies, had a bit of flirting, and then suddenly were all in. I didn’t feel much of a spark between them, but it didn’t make me dislike the book.
I loved the Baby Witches, and would loooove to get a book about the three of them. They were captivating and it was so fun to get a closer look at the magic system. The rest of the magic in the book felt a little convenient, but I loved the Baby Witches.
