DNF. There's nothing wrong with this book. I'm just not interested in the characters or setting. I started this because I love her Wayward Children series but this doesn't have the same magic (for me).

What a fun read! Great characters, emotional intrigue, and fun fae magic. Excited to continue the series.

I think I prefer Seanan McGuire's non-fantasy books more - Feed (which she wrote as Mira Grant) was just incredible. Rosemary and Rue, which is the first book in an urban fantasy series about October Daye (cringe), a part-fairy. And it was fine, an enjoyable urban fantasy, and I like October, despite her name. I am just not really into books about fairies. Fairy courts and politics just bore me, and it's hard to really get into a book that centres around those things.
