After Even If It Hurts I was a little reluctant to dive back into this series and Sam's stories, but OMMMGGG this is everything I was hoping for from her. Silvan is over the top obsessed and absolutely unhinged when it comes to Sophie and I couldn't get enough.
I loved watching Sophie's internal battle with her feelings for Silvan. She knew he was off kilter, but also enjoyed the love and devotion he showed her. She was a touch broken and Silvan slipped through those cracks. Would I condone this in real life, heck no, but in the pages of the book this kind of touch her and keel over adoration is one of my favorite tropes, I just loved him.
The audio was amazing. DUET narration with a partial cast and everyone rocked it. I had an absolute blast listening to this one and the almost 15hrs of audio blew by as I devoured it whole.

Surrender is the fourth book in the Coastal Elite series, but it can be read as a standalone.
Silvan was obsessed with Sophie from the moment he saw her, and he was very determined to get her…in any way possible. Was he a red flag? Yes. He was also very OTT protective.
Sophie was very back and forth, and I didn’t really see how she fell for Silvan. But she did.

As much as one can, I recommend Surrender. The duet narration is great and the story is typical of the dynamic that SM writes. I will always go soft for OTT j/p MMCs. But a lot of the goodwill the author has built over this series and with her other dark romances gets somewhat ruined with Sleeping Beauty. Because Aubrey and Dare are not the A and D we left in Contempt/EiiH. and I really still don't like Hannah. The duet narration really locked me in though which I really enjoyed.

Another great bully romance by Sam. I really liked Silvan’s POV especially the reasoning behind his questionable actions. Glad to see Sophie understood him in the end.
