This was the latest audio-book the kids and I listened to. I didn't realize it was the second one in a series, because it was a book that could stand alone. My 7 year old really enjoyed this book. My nearly 10 year old pretended not to (it wasn't "cool" enough), but he was really listening rather intently. As for me, where can I sign up for some of Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle's magic powders to cure my kids of such things as whining or messiness? In fact, where can I get some powders to cure myself of my own flaws?

Overall, this book was pleasant and enjoyable, if a bit outdated and didactic.

another 5-star piggle wiggle. this one has all the charm of the first book and more. now the cures are literally just magic and make me want to get some to cure the adults in my life (lol!11!!!!) also the descriptions of the food these moms are whipping up for the children, my oh MY. we've got applesauce cakes, chocolatey chunky brownies, dripping french toast, glowing red apples, brown butter bread, baked casseroles, thick slices of chocolate cakes, peppermint sticks, and candied apples. albeit the food seems basic here, but add on a description of warm hot cocoa with fluffy whipped cream, and suddenly all the children's after-school snacks are next level.

Kind of dated. A lot of the stories were about drugging your kids into obedience. Definitely liked it better when my mom read it to me as a kid. My 4 year old loved it though.

Another great Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle book. In this one, the solutions to the children's bad behavior involves a bit of magic. :)

Reread this while staying with my parents for the weekend, it was my FAVORITE growing up.

It holds up. So so so totally charming and FUNNY. The Thought You Saiders is legendary in my family and I laughed out loud at “marilyn fell in the toaster and burnt up dead” just like I did when I was a kid. The beautiful illustrations are an added bonus. I will never fall out of love with Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle.

I love Mrs. Piggle-Wiggle. I wish I'd lived with her.

These books were the first time in my childhood I learned that chapter books can make you laugh and cry.
