Hilarious and insightful
This was just the book I needed to read right now as the whole world is a dumpster fire. The author’s way of describing her battles with anxiety and other illnesses has been a light in this dark time. And even though we’re not battling the same things, her take on how to combat the darkness (keep writing about it, find the funny and ridiculous, gather the people you love tighter) is helping me frame the way I’m facing the global pandemic and being shut up in my house with four kids. Thank you for this book!

I think I would have to be in the mood for this book and that mood was 20 years ago.

( having never read her blog) Her essays on mental illness and anxiety were enjoyable and she had moments of great insight- but the majority of the book is anecdotes about something quirky she said or did which to me came off as more annoying, rather than delightfully odd.

read half of this on ebook and half on audiobook. the audiobook was much better and much smoother. the voice of the author really helped.
