FWIW: I’m not drowning, but I was curious when I saw this book mentioned again recently.
Good for what it is!
No rating because it’s not that kind of book.

it‘s such a healing read - can‘t recommend it enough!
This book was everything I needed to hear. Since buying my house last year, I have struggled to keep up with cleaning and would get really down on myself about it. But this book affirmed that my house being cluttered is not a reflection of my moral character, it does not mean I am lazy and worthless, it just means that I need to learn to make tasks around the house acts of self care instead of chores or burdens.

“You are not responsible for saving the world if you can’t save yourself”
I’ve followed KC on tiktok for awhile and the idea that care tasks are morally neutral helped me keep moving when depression makes it hard to take care of yourself. Something worth doing it worth doing halfway was hard to process but helpful to implement.
