This was pretty good. It is your standard romance book. It did talk about some deeper topics like racism and sexism in the film industry. The main story was the romance and it was pretty predictable and what you would expect. It was a great palette cleanser. The romance is nice, if not a bit quick paced. But still fun. I do enjoy the MMC’s backstory quite a bit as well.

A bit uneven but overall enjoyable. I could see this being a very enjoyable adaptation. Good engagement with grief for a romance novel

When I Think of You by Myah Ariel is a beautifully written and emotionally charged story about love, heartbreak, and healing. Ariel captures the inner struggles of her characters with raw honesty, especially through the lens of grief and the impact of past relationships. The prose is poetic at times, and the emotional depth pulls you in from the first page. While it’s a relatively short read, it leaves a lasting impression with its reflections on vulnerability and finding peace after pain. A touching debut that will resonate with anyone who’s loved and lost.

Ain’t nothing like your first love! Kaliyah takes us on a romantic whirlwind with a first love, that we’ve all experienced before. At times I wished I could just shake some sense into Kaliyah, lol. But through the highs and lows, that’s the way love goes. I enjoyed the character development, the contemporary elements of the story, and the authors writing style. This was a beautiful love story, drawing you in and giving you all the feels. A wonderful debut novel for Myah Ariel. I wouldn’t mind a sequel to this.

Wow I loved this so much. Packed such an emotional punch, I lost track of how many times I cried (and swooned).
