This was a sweet, slow burn, will they/won’t they romance that also touches on family, healing from grief individually and as a family, overcoming trauma, racism, finding self and acceptance, and living your dreams.

I enjoyed the journey. Did the MFC and MMC frustrate during their will they/won’t they dance? Yes! But it was due to their own growth & healing needed. Grow and heal they did. Sweet would be the one word I use to describe this one.

This was very well written, I’d recommend for that reason. It just wasn’t a book that I couldn’t put down. I guess I don’t really love the second-chance trope; the decisions of our main character didn’t always make sense to me.

My second movie-industry romance in a row, this one went much farther into the intricacies of the industry and what happens behind the scenes of production.

I would read another one of Ariel’s books, this one just wasn’t my favorite.
