One of my new favorite book series. I really enjoyed the writing style and overall story and message.
That ending though, no spoilers, but absolutely wild.

The end of the series. I'm still not at all fond of Nick Cooper. He did get back with his wife, but his affair is just glossed over. That didn't add up for me. Why would you keep this guy?

War, yes... big wars. We have have use of words I don't feel added to the book at all. The "hero" is practically using mid-evil torture on people!

The whole series fizzles and disappoints. The write up when I started reading this series seemed like it would be good. This is not good like x-men, or Heros or anything similar. Over all it isn't worth the time that I spent reading it. I know that is harsh to say, but I prefer much more depth to my books and something that leaves me with a connection to the winning side. This series was unable to do that.

My copy came from Net Galley in exchange for my honest review.

This book was the ending of the Brilliance Trilogy and it did not disappoint. It was filled with action and kept you guessing until the end. I would recommend this book to anyone who enjoys Sci Fi or dsypotypian fiction. This series is a great read!

**SPOILER** I will say that the end was hard. It left you on a cliff hanger and you will never know what happened. I know that author has said that he does not plan to write any more books in the series and know that I will never find out how this cliff hanger is resolved is hard.

Great Trilogy. At the end Sakey mentions that he chatted ideas about the book while hanging out with Blake Crouch (author of the Wayward Pines trilogy). Wow.

This last book in the trilogy was full of action - lots of war, killing, fighting and more fighting and stragegizing as Nick tries to stop John Smith and a war and save his ex-wife and children and the world. Although this was the last book in the trilogy, it did end with a bit of a twist that could lead to another book or series. I look forward to the author's next book.

I received an advanced copy of this, the final book in Marcus Sakey's Brilliance trilogy. I am always delighted by the way he makes words and phrases sing. So many times I stopped and reread a sentence because his mastery of language was so delicious. His characters have flesh and blood, sweat and tears, hopes and dreams. They're no more perfect than you or I. So real you can hear distinct voices in your head. I am not sure I will ever see DAR as Daughters of The American Revolution instinctively again, but I can live with that. Although I am ready to find out if Hawk has a successful road trip, I'm ok with not knowing. He's so vividly in my imagination I can see several possibilities for the rest of his story. If this is your first taste of Mr. Sakey's work, go back and read some of his older books while you wait patiently for his next book. You won't regret it.

The first book in this series was interesting. The second was OK. When I started to read the third, I found myself constantly asking myself if I'd read this book before. I may have to come back to it another time, but this one just didn't do anything for me. Gave it up after the first few chapters.

Great end to a great trilogy! In the authors acknowledgements he reveals that him and his friend Blake Crouch went hiking together and both came back with ideas for a book series, Blakes being the Wayward Pines, which I thought was a really cool fact to add. Both series are entertaining and full of enough suspense to keep you up saying " just one more chapter!"
