4.22 AVERAGE

4.75 the only reason it’s not a 5 is bc connor lowkey annoyed me w the “i don’t love anyone” thing but he came around in the end

I'd have given it 5 stars if not for the times I felt my blood boiling (they were a lot)

this series is just so fun to read. never have I come across a group of characters that feels so real. it’s like hanging out with my friends (that are fictional) when I open this book

i love connor cobalt

4.5 stars ~ Audiobook Review

Krista and Becca Ritchie’s books tend to be on the long side. Kiss the Sky is nearly 450 pages and the audiobook is 14 hours long. I never once felt bored, though, or wanted the story to move faster. In fact, the end is so swoony and satisfying I didn’t want it to end. Talk about getting a bang for your buck!

Place three sisters and their significant others in the same house together, film them 24/7 for a reality show, and you have a story that is ripe with humor, misunderstandings, manipulations, scandal, and lots of love. It is fascinating to see the way actual events can be edited to create an alternate “reality” for the sake of drama.

The Calloway sisters are distinctly different. I love Rose’s concern and devotion to her sisters’ wellbeing. She is brilliant, fearless, and a stubborn man eater who also happens to be an ambitious fashion designer. Daisy, meanwhile, is a rising fashion model with a wild streak and a tendency to be easily manipulated. Lily is very vulnerable and awkward after being publicly exposed as a sex addict.

Connor Cobalt oozes confidence, calm, and intelligence. He knows what he wants and is determined to have it all—no matter the cost. The thing he wants most is Rose, but he has to knock down her formidable walls first. I love how Connor and Rose challenge each other. They are equally matched in terms of brains and emotional strength, and their sparring is very appealing. Their little exchanges in French are wonderful.

All the men are extremely protective of the Calloway sisters, and I ate it up. The next book, Hothouse Flower, is Ryke and Daisy’s story, and I plan to dive right in.

I was prepared to hate the audio. Initially, I thought Mark Boyett was totally ill cast. He speaks the first few lines and I immediately conjured up an image of an old man instead of a strong and sexy 24-year-old. Surprisingly, Boyett performs the hell out of Connor and all the other characters as well—and I do mean perform. It is not a mere recitation of the words. He fills each sentence with intent and creates a well-rounded picture of Connor. Therese Plummer fully embraces Rose, and delivers her narration with impeccable warmth, determination, and believability. Well done!

When I tell you I ate this book UP… Rose and Connor’s relationship really had me giggling and kicking my feet in bed every night.

I was definitely nervous to move onto the next Calloway sisters couple because I wasn’t sure if Rose and Connor’s relationship was gonna do it for me the way that Lo and Lilly’s did but WHEW… one thing they didn’t do was disappoint.

I’m a sucker for a strong, powerful FMC and Rose really showed OUT. I loved how even though Rose is a head-strong, independent, woman, Connor was able to help her lean into her soft girl era (and get really comfortable in her own skin 😉) - I’m excited to keep reading the series so I can get to their next book, Fuel the Fire!

I highly recommend this read to my die-hard romance girlies!

4.5
damn ! Connor et Rose ??? explosif, puissant (on my knees for both of them)
the spicy scene ???? kill me
la bromance entre Connor et Lo ?? big YES

I still can't believe Rose allowing the family to be in a reality show, but I get it. Thankfully it all turned out well because I was nervous for their outcome. I can breathe now.

Rose and Connor are really interesting characters. I am glad we got to know them better. The overall group dynamic - sisters, boyfriends, bothers - works well. I didn’t love the idea of a reality show to “help” your image but it made sense for the series.

4.25 ⭐️ i love rose and connors banter but scott made me dread reading the last 30% of the book
