This updated "you've got mail" romp is the kind of book where you can 100% predict just about everything that happens, but is still perfectly enjoyable when you're in the mood for that kind of thing.

Loved this sweet fairy tale love story!

“I finished that book. Oh god. I wanna marry that book, I wanna live inside it forever. Oh god. It was so beautiful. Oh godddd. I was smiling the entire time I was reading it. Goodness gracious. It was so damn good and beautiful I think I'm gonna die from happiness-overdose.

I was smiling and giggling the whole time & I’ve seen You’ve Got Mail approximately 68373649 times so I knew exactly how this was going to end but it’s still SO PERFECT ANYWAY !!!!

Had me guessing who the killer was right to the end!
hopeful lighthearted fast-paced

the most surprising part is that this was written in 2021 and not 2011

Done!

That was a ride. 3.75 ⭐ overall.

When I first read the book, it made me wonder if I'd be able to finish it. The happenings were cringe for me at times but the funny parts saved it for me. At the 50% mark, I thought the story was getting better that my mind was going in between 4 - 4.5 stars. However, at 75% the story started becoming so predictable the cringe feeling I felt came back. I am half guilty for skimming their dialogues at the 97% mark.

It was fun. I loved the banter between the characters. I think the author did a really good job with that but the execution of the overall story was lacking for me. I will still give it 3.75 ⭐ because the writing was easy for me to read and imagine.
