Such an entertaining and hilarious read! Twinkle Khanna, aka Mrs. Funnybones writes about snippets of her daily life, her work, travels and even some important social topics in her own intriguing way. I love the way she has written this in a diary-like style, noting how the day in a typical modern working mom's life goes. My favourites are the extracts of her family, consisting of the prodigal son, the baby, the man of the house, the mom, and the mother-in-law.

I personally loved this book because Bollywood is so close to heart, and for me, reading the work of celebrity authors is just an interesting way of learning their lives and their culture. This is in stark contrast to [b:I've never been (Un)happier:|42269208|I've never been (Un)happier (Penguin Petit)|Shaheen Bhatt|https://i.gr-assets.com/images/S/compressed.photo.goodreads.com/books/1539154255l/42269208._SX50_.jpg|65891184] by author Shaheen Bhatt, which touches on the topic of her journey with depression, and also delves into her life as a member of a celebrity family.

What appealed to me about Mrs. Funnybones is the personal and casual touch she has brought to her writing. Throughout the book, it's full of humbleness and is so easy and fun to read because she doesn't write as a star or celebrity wife, but as a normal working mom of two.

This book is as funny as it gets. Mrs. Funnybones' humour is simply deceptive and catches you off guard. I highly recommend it!

“All you mummyjis beware! If your daughter-in-law claims that she loves you like her own mother, then daal mein kuch kaala hai and that little black spot could very well be rat poison.”

[On the tradition of Karva Chauth]-
“The United Nations research states that men with the longest life expectancy are from Japan, followed by Switzerland. I am rather surprised at this result as since time immemorial we have been doing the Karva Chauth fast to make sure our men have long lives, and the results should have definitely shown by now. I scan the list, confident that in this chart of life expectancy, the Indian man must definitely be in the top 5. Nope! There are 146 countries above us where the men have longer lifespans, and the biggest blow is that even with four wives who don’t fast for them, the Arab men outlive our good old Indian dudes.”

I couldn't read beyond 12 pages because I was bored and annoyed. There is no story and the humour is clearly forced. She maybe a funny person but she cannot write humour. I am not sure what is funny about Twinkle Khanna taking an auto home because she couldn't find her car or her mother- Dimple Kapadia, putting her on a juice diet when she was 18 yrs old to lose weight.
It is ok to fail at one career but failing at a 2nd career takes special talent.

The book begins with really good humor which continues throughout the book but somewhere in between it is mixed with some very wise words. Overall a really good read. Light yet meaningful.

Short and well written book that literally talks about Indian households and the roles taken up by the lady of the house in a subtle way.

A great light read (context: waiting for my flight) as a commentary on her life and observations, some witty, some plain. I guess as a collection of blog entries and as a weekly blog, it plays great relevance for the style she adopts. But renewed respect for Twinkle Khanna who has been away from the limelight and the common man always wondered why.
