I didn’t expect to cry while reading this novella… but guess what? I did.
I absolutely loved this story, it made me even more obsessed with the Frat Wars series, and Archie & Dash? They’re the most delightfully delulu couple, and honestly, I can’t blame them. The circumstances totally justified it.
We’re taken back 20 years to see the story of Charles’ parents (yes, Charles from Presidential Chaos). We return to Rho Kappa Tau and meet the perfectly put-together Archibald Levine III. He has his life planned out, knows what’s expected of him, and exactly how to get there… until temptation, or rather, a certain wild, free-spirited someone, comes along and shakes everything he’s worked so hard to maintain.
Dash has a small (okay, huge) crush on this rich, stuck-up golden boy, but he knows there’s no way someone like Archie would ever look at someone like him. That is… until a crown decides to play matchmaker and bring them together.
One thing I love is a possessive main character, and Archie? God, what a man. I adored his intensity, and even more, I loved how Dash pushed his buttons to bring that side out. Their chemistry is undeniable from the very first moment. But beyond that, their vulnerability with each other? Absolutely beautiful. I really enjoyed seeing how they slowly opened up and compromised for each other.
Their personalities were so different, but that made them fit together even better. Dash had me cracking up most of the time with the way he kept clapping back at Archie, but I also loved watching him try to hide his softer side. And who better to see through that than Archie? Because once Archie falls in love, he doesn’t do it halfway, he’s all in.
Saying I loved their HEA doesn’t even come close. And seeing Charles and Zeke again? That made me smile so much.
This novella was such a joy to read, and stepping back into the Frat Wars world felt like coming home. If Saxon James ever decides to write more in this universe, I’ll be first in line to read it. It’s impossible not to fall for these characters and all their chaos.

A fun read.
I never ever cry when reading Novellas. This one had me blubbering at the end. I just lost it, only Saxon James can pull that kind of magic. I loved every moment of this story! And with Novellas I find I’m left wanting more when it ends, but this one was less of that (I still wanted more. I always want more! Haha), and I appreciated it felt like a full story.
