The plotline unrevals rather slowly. I like that the chapters switched between past and present. Just took me lots of patience to follow through as only the last 100 pages got to a medium pace.

This book was a pretty satisfying read. At times I would get a little annoyed at the main character (or I guess the author?) for introducing more and more complications to the plot line that seemed trivial but realized that it was simply replicating many of the issues a normal teenage girl would be concerned with even if she was investigating her mother's disappearance. So I guess in the end, it provided some relatability

The first 100+/- pages had me unsure if I wanted to keep going. The next 150+/- kept my interest. The rest of the book I read at light speed to see if my guesses were true. One word for the last 150+/- pages? Captivating.
