Great book! Suspenseful, intricate world building, complex characters and an intruiging plot

This series and this author are my new favorites.

The characters, the world, the magic, everything. I am obsessed.

this book adds to the story in Truthwitch without a main plot itself, but the characters and the setting and the ongoing overreaching plot made up for it. The only thing is that it stopped a good book from being a great one.

Can I have my heart back please... Never going to happen? That's too bad. Well, I guess Merik, Safi, Iz and Aeduan will take good care of it. Or not. Maybe they'll break it. Probably. I'm gonna die when reading Bloodwitch aren't I? Guess what, I don't even mind.

Merik is not supposed to be alive and if the darkness overcomes him then there is no stopping him, but at least he is fighting. Vivia i didn’t like you at first but you grew on me and have become one of my favorite character. Cam is a guy, but really a girl. Auedan is by far my favorite character in this book, with his beautiful blood powers. Inseult I was indifferent about but grew to like her more. The only person I lowkey like less is Safi because I find her character development weird like do you like Caden or what and this thing with proving yourself is like who cares you already have a power people want. Caden I always like you with you and Your hell-bards on some I’m a bad bitch shit. Vanessa I fucks with heavy like uhh

The beginning of this story was a bit slow, but it really picked up after the halfway point. I love all of the characters and the diversity represented in the story. Already reading the next one!

It was worth it making it through the middle portion of this book for that ending.

Also, the angst!!!!

I'm ready for Bloodwitch to make its appearance.

Solid follow up to the first book. Can't wait to continue on the series!
