Listened to this one as an audiobook. I think this one might have been my favorite of this series so far. This series definitely hits on hot button topics, specifically sexual assault and abandonment in this one. Alexis and Noah started out as friends but it slowly turned to them having more feelings for each other. Their relationship wasn’t always perfect…which led to Noah joining the Bromance book club and his friends helping him figure out how to make up for his mistakes to Alexis. Overall a cute read, but didn’t love it and didn’t hate it.

Noah is the classic shy, super smart (and attractive) guy and Alexis is hte classic boho, vegetarian business owner, working with other sexual assault survivors. I loved these two as a couple and I liked them independently as well. They had an interesting story and something I have not yet read about: kidney transplants amidst an unknown family with a father figure who was absent from her life. Despite that, Alexis is a kind, caring, and considerate person who, despite struggles, wants to do something good for her absent father, despite his actions. I really enjoyed this novel, much more than the second in the series, and really like the two main characters.

Cute, but nothing special!
I really enjoyed the friend group, as with the other Bromance books, and there were a few topics I was happy to see mentioned in a romance (ex: feminine rage). However, despite being brought up, I did feel some tougher/heavier topics were glazed over which kept this from
being a high star rating!
Overall light and enjoyable!

"There is no more universal story than of two people working through their shit to overcome huge obstacles and find their way to happiness."

Summary
Alexis is still dealing with the fallout of exposing a celebrity chef as a sexual predator when a sister she didn't know she had suddenly enters her life under dire circumstances. Her best friend, Noah, has always been there for her, but he's worried their friendship may be in jeopardy when he starts to desire more than friendship. So, he turns to the trust Bromance Book Club for help.

Why did I pick up this book?
I have loved the first two books (Bromance Book Club & Undercover Bromance) so it was an easy decision to pick up the third! Plus I love the audiobook narrator, and that it's a man, which I've found is rare in these contemporary romances.

What did I enjoy about it?
Gosh, these books are hilarious. She uses jokes and profanity in just the right moments, I'm constantly barking out laughter when I'm out grocery shopping and listening via earbuds. I also love that the book is not explicitly from the woman's POV and moves back and forth between both of them effortlessly. The friends-to-lovers trope might be my favorite because the relationship always has more meaning, in my eyes. Just overall a comforting, happy, funny read with characters I now love.

What did I not enjoy about it?
Sadly, with each new installment, we drift farther away from the "manuals" (novels) the men are supposed to read for help, which I always find as one of the funniest parts of the book. Additionally, once the story starts picking up, the main characters claim to feel bad about a certain action but then do it anyways, and without giving too much away, it felt very rude and I didn't like it.
