Oliver has as much depth of character as Bill Sikes’ dog. If not LESS.
But I still felt like a Victorian woman reading this; entirely consumed by Dickens’ storytelling and letting out the occasional audible gasp of celebration or horror, despite being already familiar with the plot.
So 4.95 ⭐️

This is like a TV show that just keeps going and going, and gets crazier and more involved in side plots as it goes on and doesn't really make much sense but then the ending wraps (almost)everything up. I wish I could give a 3.5 rating
It is very clear through the events that unfold in this story that is was one of Dicken's earlier novels. Plot twists that appear to come out of nowhere with very little build up, you can tell he didn't exactly plan ahead in what he was going to write. Nonetheless, it is considered a classic for a reason and to this day remains just as funny, sarcastic and satirical, and has a valuable lesson to teach about how the lower classes are treated.
I pleasantly enjoyed this. It was a little long and a tad boring at times, but I've been really busy the past two weeks and so it was kind of nice having a simple, kinda boring, non-complicated book to read when I had a free moment. I did like how heartwarming the story was. Oliver was so sweet and cute. I loved him.
Oliver twist was a really good book for me. The things I really enjoyed about it was the fact that we got to see many different characters and their experiences, I liked that some chapters were dedicated solely for building up to Oliver's story. Everything came nicely together in the end. The characters were well structured, but sometimes I would get confused because there were quite a few characters to keep up with. Some make small appearances and then they're in the story again and I would have to search up who they are again. But that was only for the side characters.
Anyway, I think the pacing was a bit slow, but I might be biased because I read this over a prolonged period of time. I would recommend it for someone who had patience definitely because things don't add up until the very end.

Got bored of it; my classmates were good at summarising it.
Charles Dickins knows how to write an ending, and i will not be taking arguments at this time.
