Short, sweet forbidden romance between Zacai & Taima.

Didn’t like Zacai’s energy in the beginning but he turned it around. Enjoyed Taima’s redemption story.

I liked them together as a couple.

The author was using Tank & Trystyn interchangeably for one of the characters which I found odd. In 1 sentence she would refer to him as Tank and then the next Trystyn but it didn’t seem to make sense to me as to why.

Taima and Zacai

I enjoyed that story. Zakai background was heartfelt and trauma field. Taima had to learn the hard way who her real friends were. I was really happy that they found each other. I did think it was weird how she watched him in the office scene. I love how the author thought outside the box and did something different with the female character and I love how she allowed the male character to have a area of vulnerability. This was a good read and I recommended it.

Need a LOT of work

This book should still be in the drafts. The storyline had a lot of potential, but the errors took away from that. It's giving first draft on wattpad... I made it to 60% and I couldn't push through anymore. Two stars for the effort.

This was a good quick read, not without its flaws. Zacai and Tamia were cute for each other. But due to this being short it felt like some area of them were explored. Like Tamia being fresh out and adapting super quick, and no parole? Also, for the brother to have such an issue with them, there wasn’t even a conversation about it? Small things but I still enjoyed!

TRIGGER WARNING: DOMESTIC VIOLENCE

“In the hands of the right person, Love can be Powerful. Love can be Healing. Love can be exactly….. What You Need”

Reading books about black men and black women loving one another pulls at my heart strings. I love love. And I love black love.

Glad that both main characters were able to find real love and get their HEA! The beginning of the story definitely had me in my feelings, but I’m glad that it all worked out
