Awesome, slightly more intense sequel.

This series is such a delight! I am loving these characters! The humor is the best! Can't wait to see how the story ends!

Such a fun story! However, this one was a bit more, shall I say, violent, than the first book. I guess it's to be expected when you have the most fierce and bloodthirsty warlord playing a central role in the story. I enjoyed this book for the most part, and the characters were as charming and likeable as they were in the first, but there were moments that made me cringe because I thought it was a bit more violent than a book targeted to younger readers should be. Don't get me wrong, it was never bloody or anything, but rather was kinda slapsticky violent, if you know what I mean. Like, for example, men being thrown from a window into a moat of flesh-eating eels or a plate being thrown clear through a man, etc. It was never detailed in any way, but it was more than I expected after having read the first novel in the series. Personally, I'd wait to give this book to the young reader because of those things I mentioned.

Low on plot, high on hilarity and lovable characters. One of my favorites for fairytale parody.

My favourites are Briar and Lila. I expected to love Lila (she is amazing), but my sudden love for Briar was entirely unexpected. She is just so amazing though. *makes a banner asking her to marry me*

Amusing - with some mild angst to keep it interesting. I'm looking forward to the next installment of the adventures of the Princes Charming and their miscellaneous damsels in distress.
