SQUISHYYYYY

These two were adorable! Maddox just wants to find his mate to take care of them and love them. Dani is haunted by more than one ghost and feels like he could never be someone to love. They're both exactly what they need for each other and I loved it soooo much.

Also Nox is freaking adorable and I can't wait to read his book.

His Primal Kiss by Kota Quinn is the second book in the MM multi-author Monster Match Series.

The Monster Match series follows humans and monsters finding love or friendship through the first and only app if its kind.

Dani, the greater of the Monster Match app is searching for someone who can protect him from a paranormal stalker. Maddox, an orc who was told that his mate would be a human crosses the portal into the mortal world inhales of finding his fated.

This is a cute fluffy monster romance, which is a bit different from monster romances that tend to have darker themes to it, and I am completely here for it. It is largely character driven in which the characters are patient and accepting of one another. Dani and Maddox has amazing chemistry and it definitely shows.

3.8 stars...almost 4.

Warning. Incomming mini rant.

I really loved this book. I read almost all of it in one night staying up till 2am.

Until about 70%

I felt a lot of things were lacking. Some descriptions and movement...I felt there were some missed opportunities as well.

Ex: I realized after I read it that I have no idea what kind of tattoos Maddox does. What they look like. If they are just symbols or pictures?
I loved the idea of healing tats but wanted more detail about it.

The texting...it was just lines of text. No movement no feelings. No internal thinks. It could have been either pov.

I also missed out on the initial meeting over the app! And I was so upset I didn't get to see the mating bite. Felt like a lot of buildup for nothing("you'll feel better when the bind is complete" was said a lot and I was left feeling unsatisfied).

Dani's ghost. I fully expected it to be a real issue other than it just touching Dani and scaring him(I got chills the first time the ghost touches is face! That was done so well I was freaked out).
Then, I thought it would have some deeper meaning. Possibly his father watching over him but...no.

All that said. They were a cute pair and their romance sweet.
