Oh my word, I don't know how Susan does it. Each episode of the Debt Collector serial just gets better and better. The intensity of each installment escalates and takes the reader on a ride like no other. And the end of each book leaves me wanting more. Who can imagine stuff like this?

I am so glad that I don't have to wait too long to get the next episode, it's that good. I highly recommend this series whenever any one will listen to me.

I received a copy in exchange for an honest review

After reading the first book in this season I was eagerly awaiting this one, it's strange how waiting a week for the next episode can seem so long while for some books you have wait years. So I was happy when I finally got the chance to dive into Specter. Specter is short and sweet and still contains so much story.

The mysterious organization about which was hinted in Wraith is expanded on in this episode, combined with the other story threads about Wraith like her mercy hits and the company she's part of. While we learn more about the mysterious organization, it stays mysterious and I think I have more questions then when I started this book, but I am also intrigued and the next episode seems too far away. I really admire how Susan can write this episodic format and puts enough story in each books, not end it with a cliffhanger, but still makes you hunger for the next book. Now that's what I call great writing.

There's an interesting development between Wraith and Wyatt in this book and I wish we got more. The scenes seemed to short and I just wanted there to be more, but it also made sense for Wraith ton react this way.

To conclude: While Specter was a short episode, it's full of story. I liked learning new things and adding even more questions to my list. There's a hint of romance, but it isn't explored a lot yet. I can't wait for the next episode!

I want to thank the author for providing me with a copy of this episode to read and review. Receiving it for free has in no way altered my opinion or review.

Where to start with this? First I'll say that this one ends and you're like, huh? I mean, I tapped the screen on my Kindle and there wasn't a next chapter and I actually said "Susan you suck!" LOL! But it's not in a bad way. I absolutely love this series, just as much as the first season.

We get a little more of Wraith (Lexy) here. I think what I loved most about this episode is how she exerted her power in the board room. She showed that she was not only able to handle herself surrounded by the most powerful people in her father's company, but she is also able to show them she's not just willing to sit back as they try and bring it down.
You also see her fear. The fear of loving someone. The fear of people finding out what she really is. And the fear of dying before she can bring those to justice that need to be brought to justice.

I can't really go into much with this episode (I don't want to spoil things for readers) but I can say that it was a great follow-up to the first and the readers will not be disappointed in the least. I love how Quinn is slowly introducing new characters, as she did with Lirium's season. I'm also quite intrigued to find out exactly what Gehenna is and what they expect of Wraith. I am not sure if they are somewhat on the good side, or are just using it to do illegal things. I'm itching to know NOW!

Not only is the story totally sucking me in, but Quinn's writing continues to be phenomenal (as is all her writing, so pick up her other stuff, too!). Her descriptions are done so well you can actually picture yourself there in each scene. I feel more like I am experiencing things as a Debt Collector rather than a reader and I LOVE that.

Can't wait for the next episode.
