3.5 rounded up. Thanks to NetGalley for the ARC! I'm from the Bay Area, so it was fun to see the hints of all these familiar neighborhoods/cities. I loved how they slowly got to know each other over food and how they were fully developed people with proper backstories. My only gripes were the unnecessary third act breakup and the early attraction (if it's a slow burn let it be a slow burn!), but overall I had a great time with this. Fun, cute summer read to pair with the heat wave we're having right now.

 𝗧𝗛𝗘 𝗦𝗟𝗢𝗪𝗘𝗦𝗧 𝗕𝗨𝗥𝗡 𝗯𝘆 𝗦𝗮𝗿𝗮𝗵 𝗖𝗵𝗮𝗺𝗯𝗲𝗿𝗹𝗮𝗶𝗻 (@𝘴𝘢𝘳𝘢𝘩𝘤𝘩𝘢𝘮𝘣𝘦𝘳𝘭𝘢𝘪𝘯𝘢𝘶𝘵𝘩𝘰𝘳) was a cozy, feel-good romance with a dash of heavier topics, making it a satisfying read. I loved how Ellie was portrayed—relatable, strong, and constantly caring for others, to the point where she forgets herself. Her character growth was beautiful, and I really connected with her struggles. Kieran, on the other hand, took a while to grow on me. At first, his impulsiveness was frustrating, but by the end, I was rooting for him. The tension between Ellie and Kieran was good, but the spice scenes felt a bit off—vague descriptions left me wanting more clarity. Overall, it’s a charming read, but some elements felt overdone. Still, I enjoyed the ride and all the good food mentions!
