I didn't quite believe how quickly the characters fell in love, but still an enjoyable read, I always like the added bit of drama in her books.

♾️ stars, all of the stars. It’s fine Catherine, I love having chest pains from how much you make my heart absolutely ache. I’m good. 😭
This. This right here is my drug of choice and my favorite book from the series so far.
If you have not started this series yet, just know that you need to! It is everything, romantic, suspenseful, and it makes you giggle uncontrollably. Okay now stop reading.
This book is about Sutton and Cope and I LOVED EVERY SINGLE PAGE. This book made it so hard to put down because their story is just so heart wrenching and beautiful. And omg the way Luca had my heart absolutely melting the entire book. Ugh, I will forever be recommending this series. Now on to Arden’s story 😍

I was really excited for this one—hockey player and a badass single mom with a bakery? Yes, please. But some of the MMC’s choices/reactions didn’t sit right with me. The pain med scene especially bugged me—she clearly said no, and he just wasn’t listening to her. Plus, she didn’t owe him any explanation for refusing the drug. It felt like her boundaries weren’t respected.
That said, Luca was adorable, and I did love his scenes with Cope and the Colson family.
Still planning to keep reading because I’m curious about Arden and definitely want to see Trace’s story.

This book threw my emotions into a whirlwind!
I'm absolutely addicted to this series, I mean hard core addicted. This book is my favorite so far. Cope and Sutton were insane! The emotional trauma that these two each have, and how they deal with it separately and as a couple was EVERYTHING!
I loved how protective Cope was of Sutton and Luca and his relationship with the latter....OMG! He was the perfect father figure for the little guy and their scenes were just so perfect. I love them!
Sutton was so strong for her and Luca and I breathed a sigh of relief when she finally let go a little and had Cope take some of the load knowing that it didn't make her any less strong.
In true Catherine fashion we have that little drama throughout the story that just added so much more to her characters and this story as a whole. There was still a bit of a surprise at the end and I actually had to hold my breath a little bit!
These characters, and relationships (not just between the MMC and the FMC but also the other supporting characters) is so top notch you just become so engaged in this story and before you know it, this book is done and you are in book hangover. Salivating for the next book!
Connor and Erin did such a job on this story that Cope & Sutton came off the page and into my soul. I felt every feeling, every whisper, every emotion on this journey.
I honestly can't recommend this book and this series enough.

I absolutely fell in love with Sutton and Luca in 𝘋𝘦𝘭𝘪𝘤𝘢𝘵𝘦 𝘌𝘴𝘤𝘢𝘱𝘦, so I was really excited to get to their story.
And seeing Luca (the mini adrenaline junky, himself 😆) FINALLY get to go to Hockey Camp was like a little dream come true…for me. 🤣 His excitement and energy really jumps out from the pages/earbuds, and I was so excited for him…especially when his coach turned out to be Cope, the foster sibling who’s spent most of the series away with his hockey team in Seattle.
Both MCs have their baggage, but with Cope being instantly obsessed with little Luca’s mom, you know he’s gonna put in the work to open those doors up for the both of them. But he doesn’t just swoop in to help her because of his obsession, he swoops in because she needs that help, and he just WANTS to help. 🥰
A lot of forced proximity goodness. A lot of sweet moments with Luca. And then, of course, a climactic finale I never see coming. 😱
Audiobook notes: Connor Crais and Erin Mallon were both great! 👍
