This was my favorite after FRAGILE SANCTUARY and makes me wonder if I rated DELICATE ESCAPE too harshly. I digress.
Cope and Sutton were everything, but Luca definitely stole the show! I'm not usually one for kids in books, but Luca stole my heart!
The banter between not just Cope and Sutton but between Cope and his siblings in the group chat was top tier. I laughed so many times while reading this. I absolutely love the found family theme in these books. And I did *not* see the twist coming! Do be mindful of trigger warnings going into this one as it is *dark,* but in a sad way.
I can't wait to read BEAUTIFUL EXILE!

Not bad! The audiobook narrator for Sutton does kinda throw me off with the way she speaks but overall it was a great experience! I do love me a good single parent trope 🙂↕️💗

I genuinely enjoyed Cope and Sutton as a couple—even if the dialogue in Catherine Cowles’ books tends to make me cringe at times. Despite that, I was invested. That said, the ending felt a bit over the top and didn’t quite land for me.
