I liked it but I felt it was too American. It basically only talked of France as it affected Britain and after the Revolutionary War it forgot there's a world beyond the US.
I understand that a global view would be difficult but this book's too narrow and not for me.

I really enjoyed exploring history and social anthropology through the the lens of fashion and vice versa. This book was well written and ceaselessly interesting.
