I like the little magic aspect she has in all her books, a touch of fantasy without being fantasy. I liked all the characters but I felt like she wrote the argument with her best friend just to add drama and it didn’t feel real, it didn’t feel genuine . I loved the ending, it felt satisfying and complete.

This is only the second book by Ashley Poston I read but this is already my favorite of hers. The story was so beautiful and the characters very touching.
I really enjoyed everything that revolved around music and the family relationships. The magical aspect was intriguing!
I had some issues with the main character sometimes, I didn’t like how she treated her best friend and how she closed off once they couldn’t hear each other in their heads, it was very sudden and I did not understand why she did that. I also feel like the death of her mother was brushed off very fast at the end, I thought it was going to take more space in the last few chapters.
Other than that it was a fun read that I really enjoyed!
