Highlights:
I found this concept so fun and interesting. The tone and writing style for such a strongly was perfect. Trillin was an interesting character. A lovecraftian horror that decided to become something different and falls for a inter-dimensional researcher named Sian. The pace was amazing. It was fast enough to keep me entertained but also took the time to explain the world and lore well

Lowlights:
I really wish this was longer so the world and relationships could be fleshed out more!

4/5 stars!

There are some parts that don't make a whole lot of sense if you really think about it, but honestly, it never bothered me. This book is a short, fluffy read, equally sweet and disturbing. I read it all in one sitting and could not stop thinking of The Blob (1958).

I would recommend this book for the killer quotes alone. What other romance book has the line "She felt as though she could stare into [Sian's eyes] for hours and not get even a glimpse of uncanny light flaring from their depths, or a bubbling, glittering madness hinting at mysteries beyond all mortal ken."? If that doesn't convince you, nothing will.

This story has such a unique concept! I love the way that Trillin and her world are described. It's such an interesting take on monsters and how to humanize them.

Its a short novella, but the world building is perfect. It sets up this world and multiple dimensions really beautifully. I'm going to buy the 2nd and 3rd ones right now because I definitely haven't had enough.

I enjoyed this a surprising amount for how erm silly the premise is. It was a lot of light-hearted fun and just short enough that it didnt get old.

Kindle- a really fun novella that reminded me a lot of John Wiswell’s ‘Someone You Can Build A Nest In’, which I absolutely adored. Obviously a lot shorter and with less detail, but it was very sweet and silly and really forces you to bend your imagination into some fun shapes!

A great little sapphic, soft read for the spooky season!
