Wow. Just, wow. I feel like everyone should read The Hunger Games in today’s world, where it honestly isn’t too far from reality.

Collins is a brilliant writer. Her books were a warning. They were beautifully made, and the way she writes Katniss’s perspective makes everything so real.

I first watched The Hunger Games when I was a child. Not the brightest idea to have a kid watch the movies, but I ending up loving them anyway. The Mockingjay Part 2 came out on my birthday, and all little me wanted to do was go see it at the theaters. That was my birthday gift. It was amazing. However, it wasn’t until now that I could fully appreciate the stories for what they are. I’d read this series a hundred times over and still find something new or interesting about it. It’s a for sure recommended read from me.

The ending does feel a little rushed, but other than that, a fantastic read.

I loved most of the book but the ending wrecked me 😩😩😩 on a lot of levels.
It felt unsatisfying— all my favorite characters (but Peeta) were dead and absolutely no one got a happy ending. No one. Not even Prim 💔. And we never got to SEE Katniss and Peeta make up — the romance through the whole trilogy has been building up to this moment where they can be in love with each other genuinely…. And then it never happens on-page. So that was disappointing. AND DON’T EVEN GET ME STARTED ON GALE’S STORYLINE’S END 😩 again, both heart-wrenching and frustrating
Katniss and co secure a happy ending for Panem, but….
