Angela, Geo, and Kaiser are best friends who are inseparable. When Angela goes missing at the age of 16, she vanishes without a trace. For fourteen years, the town was left to wonder what became of her. When her dismembered body is discovered, shocking details come to light and Kaiser (now a police detective) is forced to arrest Geo (now a wealthy pharmaceutical executive) for her involvement in the murder of their best friend. For years, Geo knew what happened on the night Angela went missing, but she told no one. Now, when more bodies are found matching the MO in Angela’s demise, the hunt is on for a serial killer, and Geo is the key in unraveling the secrets surrounding what really happened all those years ago.
This was a dark, twisted, and constantly evolving plot line. This is my second book of Jennifer Hillier’s, and what I love about her is how she takes something that is black and white, in this case murder, and explores all of the shades of gray layered underneath what is visible from the surface. Geo is a criminal who goes to jail after she admits to doing horrible things on the night that her friend was killed. On the flip side, Geo is a victim, and when the light of the truth is finally shown on the events of that day, the story becomes ever more complicated. Overall, this was a macabre and suspenseful thriller that had me flying through the pages to figure out what really happened.

I really enjoyed the first half of the book, but the second half of the book was AMAZING! I found myself actually catching my breath! What a fast paced thriller! Fantastic plot, interesting twists, brilliant ending!
Edit: Read again, just as enjoyable as first time round!
