This book was not for me. I won’t say it isn’t for everybody but I was throughly disappointed. The ending was ridiculous. I loved Kaiser. Absolutely loved the pages of his perspective. The investigation was so interesting to read about and I wish it had more of that in it.
I found the lack of empathy from Geo for Angela to be so appalling and unbelievable. It was so far fetched that it was not believable. Geo wasn’t categorized as a psychopath and you are suppose to have sympathy for her and yet in the end she was the one behind the unspeakable act of her friend’s body was disgusting and again not believable. I felt like the ending was just for shock value and wasn’t interesting enough to be something unique or out of the box it was just bad writing.

I don’t understand the high ratings for this book. The story is nauseating and there is literally not one redeemable character. They are either murderers (or cold-blooded cover up helpers) or dysfunctional people in love with said helpers.

I can’t even recommend it as a beach read.

This was my first Jennifer Hillier book and for sure won’t be my last now. 4 stars instead of 5 because I felt like there were a lot of details not needed or storylines were stretched out sometimes.

What the hecckkkk. This ain’t my favorite from this author but I had a good, yet twisted and messed up time with this book.
Crazy.
