A pretty basic apocalypse novel that is enhanced by the LGBTQ+ romance running throughout it. Not my usual read, but I had fun reading it.

This is the 2nd to last book from my haul in London. I enjoyed this dystopian that made me laugh and deep sigh because since 2020 (now 2025) I can fully see this happening. The real question is would I live i think if I had someone worth living for and could be safe and find some kind of joy sure. Books ugh I'd need access to books!

This is such a great YA book - just the right amount of danger, with a very sweet queer love story at its centre. A post-apocalyptic story that reflects the different ways people might react to the breakdown of society. Tense without being hopeless. I loved this. Would recommend for ages 14 plus because it does have some gore, peril and stuff about death.
