This is the best post-apocalyptic fiction I've read!! Political in a very good way. I was so impressed with all the turns the plot took. I loved the ending and the theme that the happy ending comes from people working together in a nonauthoritarian way. I really liked how often renewable energy systems were mentioned. My favorite thing about the book is that it wasn't just your standard "looting and shooting" post-apocalypse stuff- it was about ethics and family and society and politics and systems and sustainability and hope and everything. I was so bummed out by stuff like Walking Dead and Maze Runner. This was a really great change of pace.
